1. Information We Do Not Collect
Be Still Bible does not request your name, phone number, email address, or account information, and it displays no advertising. Firebase may use IDFA for campaign attribution only after you allow Apple’s ATT system prompt.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored on your device to provide features you choose to use. The developer does not receive this content through its own servers:
- Reading position, reading progress, and recent completion history
- Favorites, notes, highlights, plans, and prayer records
- Translation, text size, appearance, narration speed, and interaction preferences
- Daily reminder status and time
3. Cloudflare Audio Service
When you use chapter narration, the app requests audio catalogs and files from an HTTPS service hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver and secure the service, Cloudflare may process necessary metadata such as IP address, request time, requested URL, User-Agent, and diagnostic or security logs.
The app does not include your reading position, favorites, notes, contacts, or advertising identifier in these requests. Downloaded audio is stored only as a removable on-device cache.
4. Weather and Approximate Location
Only after you grant location permission does the app send an approximate coordinate—requested at about three-kilometer accuracy and rounded to two decimal places—to OpenWeather to retrieve current weather for Home. The app does not retain or analyze precise location. You can revoke permission in iOS Settings at any time.
5. Firebase Analytics, Diagnostics, and Messaging
While the app is running, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics may process an app-instance identifier, device and app information, feature interactions, crashes, and related diagnostic information. If you allow Apple’s ATT system prompt, Firebase may also use IDFA for campaign attribution; after denial, Analytics continues without IDFA. We never send search terms, Scripture text, notes, prayers, location, notification tokens, or raw IDFA values as custom analytics parameters.
Firebase Cloud Messaging is enabled only after you allow notifications; Firebase manages the device token. The app receives user-visible remote notifications and does not use silent push to refresh content in the background. Push notifications are not required for core app use. Firebase data retention and protection are governed by Google Firebase policies.
6. Related YouTube Videos
When a related-video card appears, the app requests its thumbnail from YouTube’s image service. The YouTube privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com) loads only after you choose to play a video.
Google/YouTube may still process IP address, device and browser information, playback events, and cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. Google/YouTube determines whether and how long that data is retained; please also review its privacy policy.
7. Notification Permission
Daily Scripture reminders use Apple’s local notification service. After you allow notifications, the app also registers with Firebase Cloud Messaging for user-visible remote notifications. The app does not use silent push to refresh content in the background. Notifications are not required for core app use and can be disabled in the app or iOS Settings. Marketing notifications will be sent only after separate, explicit consent.
8. Sharing, Retention, and Deletion
Except for services needed to deliver weather, audio, video, notifications, analytics, and diagnostics, we do not sell or rent personal information. Retention and protection of third-party service data are governed by each provider’s policies.
You can modify or delete relevant records within the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local data. Information included in iCloud or device backups must be managed using Apple’s backup controls.
9. Children’s Privacy and Safety
The app is not designed to collect children’s personal information. Because no account is required and personal content stays on the device, parents or guardians should still manage device access, network access, and use of related videos according to the child’s age.
